WELCOME MAHARSHI MEDITATION
The object of meditation is to calm down the mind so as to reduce the frequency of the brain waves. In normal day to day work the frequency of the brain waves is 15 cycles per second. When a person is angry the frequency of the brain waves will increase to 20 cycles per seconds, 25 cycles per second or 30 cycles per second At 30 cycles per second a person will become mad. By doing meditation we try to bring down brain waves frequency lower then 15 cycles per second may be 10 cycles or 7 cycles per second. Or even lower to 5 cycles per second or even lower to 1 to 2 cycles per second. At above one cycle per second a person will be in deep meditation.
There are more than 200 techniques of meditation. In the Sanskrit the book vigyan bhairav tantra, 112 technique of meditation are given.
Different gurus have evolved various types of meditation techniques however the purpose of each meditation technique is the same. That is to calm down the mind. Maharshi Doctor Yogiraj has invented his own technique of meditation that is the Shwash Anand meditation i.e. enjoy your breath . This technique gives quicker results in health problems. It is described in detail in his book titled “enjoy your breath”.
